Painting Louise

 When your very awesome extra special arty friend asks you to paint her,because you have been sharing Instagram photos of your latest art journaling efforts,

 and she has been watching and liking and then she requests a portrait.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So I tell her I was definitely no Jo Kinder (insanely fine artist).,

but she has a Jo Kinder and would like a Lisa Oxley Style Portrait.

A scrapwitch original, no less

ok , ok , so how can I refuse my scrapping inspiration, my muse, Louise.

"This is my practice one",I said to myself when I started .

(I do that, make a practice piece, which inevitably becomes THE piece after all).

A layout for Kim, a canvas for Nicky and a new DT

 A few months ago went to Camp Mojo arty retreat and donated my services to create a layout for an auction piece.Finally sent a few months ago, this is the layout.

  I sent this commission canvas over to South Australia for the beautiful Nicky to adorn her art space .

 I've got a new DT gig this year with the Awesome Colour Blast Australia company.

this is basically my 1st piece for the company and i am soooooooo loving the effect of the shimmer and multi colour choices available..

*watch this space , I've been pumping out some new pieces with this bomb product.

one DELIGHTful retreat 2015

 My yearly pilgrimage to Picton occurred recently..I accompanied my partner in crime and arty bestie Jo ,we ventured to the southern scrap venue on Thursday(one day earlier this year-woot) to relax and enjoy the company and creative inspiration from those folk that make the journey worth the effort.

 For over 10 years I've been lucky enough to attend retreats and meet so many amazing artists,share their creative space,enjoy their stories and connect to special people.Now forever, in my experience, that have been strictly a female dominated domain.
