Pat Ngoho

This is something a little more recent .
These photos were taken 14 months ago on a roof top apartment in Bondi .
Legend skater, artist Pat Ngoho was being interviewed for an Australian Skateboarding Magazine Heelside and i got the photo gig . I also scrapped the layout for the article which was fun..
Now ,cool to come across these pix and give them a fresh 2014 make over .

this one is a few months old and should have gone in the previous post,
a guest DT with Flutterby Designs.
I love using Anitas Funky fun embellies , oh and LOL at the ant crawling across my page....
hmmm i must have been on the ball with that edit session.

Now published and ready to share .

I have a pile of layouts to share from the last few months that , have been used for Design teams , or magazine work and I am stoked to be finally able to upload my pieces and share with those that visit..
This piece above is a particular fav , as it was created on the inner sleeve of a record from my vault.
I think its from a Led Zepplin album,i'm going to have to check with my bro on his next visit.

modern woman

a little blog update featuring a recent gauche newsletter submission ,

Love this image of Venus in this Botticelli piece ,in contrast to the modern woman's tattoo'd form..

I think i need a weekend of art journalling..
I've been focusing so much on layouts this year and haven't had time for art journalling
* note to self..MAKE TIME
back to some layouts , i pumped out a pile last week for 1st of the month DT commitments blah blah and i have a couple to actually share..omg...something to share .

Highlighting part of his Quiver
i have a lil obsession with dripping house paint over my l/o atm..
works wonderfully with this dirty grungy style of scrapping.

WW1 April

White With 1-April
White with 1 this month is featuring Mint as the colour theme .
Very soft and pastely, I do love green in all its shades, and this colour was easy to work with
This months sponsor is Green Tara.
Always a scrapping joy to have some beautiful petals and lace ,
ribbons and blossoms to play with and Green Tara supplied such a
beautiful array of gorgeous goodies to be inspired by.
Here is what I did .

I painted around the photo to soften things and take out the burn grass
in the image. i am thinking to myself now, why didn't i just cut us from the photo..doh !

Head over to WW1 and
check out what the rest of the girls have put together for this months challenge.

Love is All You Need

Recently, I was blessed to attend Amanda and James' Wedding .
I've known Amanda for a little under 20 yrs ,
and have been lucky enough to see her blossom into a
beautiful, intelligent, confident , passionate, conscious young woman.
Now i know all brides are beautiful on their special day ,
 but Amanda was utterly breathtaking,
and now i have some images of the day to play with.
Music played an important part throughout the day -
James serenaded Amanda during the service, with an original piece he had written for her ,
He also played at the reception,
The cake had a musical theme.... i could go on and on...
So of course, a musical title was called for :)
but back to this gorgeous bride..
In the not to distant future,
I'm imagining her being handed a full scrapped album of her special wedding day ,
after i finish with these all these gorgeous images .
Check out the detail on this black mass of rad mess.
I found this placemat at Target (Australia),
actually Paul found it when we were out and said it would be "cool to scrap on".
But i found a better use for it.
A bargin for only $3

when ya just have to scrap

After completing Emily's 21st album ,
I've been flat out with work commitments for the last 7 days,
during that time i just had to create something for me .
even if its only a 30 minute layout..
it still refreshed my creative spirit..
i especially loved drip painting with a little house paint .♥

3 days ,2 evenings and a deadline

3 weeks ago I received  a commission , and a deadline..
Hmmmm, so many other deadlines, working and photographic commitments,
and time just got away from me .
So on Monday morning I sat down at the table and started creating
a tribute album for Emily who turned 21 this week.
tonight is her party
and today I had great joy handing over this gorgeous piece of lovingly made
SCRAP ART to her Beautiful Mumma Tricia .

There are a pile of PL pages in the back with photos of friends and words of love from them.
I hope Emily loves colour.
