Love is All You Need

Recently, I was blessed to attend Amanda and James' Wedding .

I've known Amanda for a little under 20 yrs ,

and have been lucky enough to see her blossom into a

 beautiful, intelligent, confident , passionate, conscious young woman.

Now i know all brides are beautiful on their special day ,

 but Amanda was utterly breathtaking,

 and now i have some images of the day to play with.

Music played an important part throughout the day -

 James serenaded Amanda during the service,with an original piece he had written for her ,

 He also played at the reception,

 The cake had a musical theme.... i could go on and on...

So of course, a musical title was called for :)

but back to this gorgeous bride..

In the not to distant future,

I'm imagining her being handed a full scrapped album of her special wedding day ,

after i finish with these all these gorgeous images .

 Check out the detail on this black mass of rad mess. 

I found this placemat at Target (Australia), 

actually Paul found it when we were out and said it would be "cool to scrap on".

But i found a better use for it.

when ya just have to scrap

After completing Emily's 21st album ,

 I've been flat out with work commitments for the last 7 days,

 during that time i just had to create something for me .

even if its only a 30 minute layout..

it still refreshed my creative spirit..

i especially loved drip painting with a little house paint .♥

3 days ,2 evenings and a deadline

3 weeks ago I received  a commission , and a deadline..

Hmmmm, so many other deadlines, working and photographic commitments,

and time just got away from me .

So on Monday morning I sat down at the table and started creating 

a tribute album for Emily who turned 21 this week.

tonight is her party

 and today I had great joy handing over this gorgeous piece of lovingly made

SCRAP ART to her Beautiful Mumma Tricia .

There are a pile of PL pages in the back with photos of friends and words of love from them.

I hope Emily loves colour.

 Just a quick layout catch up on a couple of published pieces,

Its nice to finally get them on my blog.

this one is the OLD, created in 2012 published, 2014... that's weird isn't it !

 so apt that we actually met thru this magazines forum , so many years ago.

One Groovy Layout Update

I'm here to share just a few pieces I've completed in the last couple of weeks,

 and i forgot to blog them , whoops 

I hope your time has been creative.

As my kids get older i seem to have less fresh photo opportunities with them.

Lucky i have a stockpile from the last ten years to play with .

 Here are a couple of pieces for the lovely Renae, whom won an auction for a layout completed by me.-her winning bid $70, wow, I'm humbled ,and well I've 3 done so far, unfortunately I cant show one because I've used it for an upcoming magazine article . I just couldn't decide which photo to use,so I'm going to use all the photos she has sent, eventually lol

 I love the texture and colour of this piece.It looks super lush IRL

 and last is this art Journal inspired work, Love those silhouette masks from Dina  ,

I had so much fun creating this piece .

WW1 February Grape

White With 1 is ,this month ,teaming up with Manor House flowers

 to showcase the colour

Not a colour used very often in my personal colour palette. But worth a challenge .

I have to say I really adore Manor House Flowers,

such amazing value for your $ and a rich lushness to their product that invites you to create with it.

oh and I just love the little cut paper frames and words also, a lovely addition to any layout .

Life Is Good
 I've use 2Craftys Clock Face Frames

and also used the supporting circle from the Clock Face Frames as a frame
 all of which I've painted with spray paint .
I really love the quick drying even coverage( but i hate the toxic smell).

I've also added Skeleton Leaves after painting and embossing them with chunky embossing powder 

 AcroYoga

                    I love these photos of Zane and Helen doing Acroyoga on the banks of Lake Macquarie

I've painted the Eloiuse Frame with a light coat of acrylic 
to bring the central focus to Helen balancing on Zanes feet

For the Shrub set i firstly did a base coat with green acrylic paint, then 

I embossed the chippy and hit it with a smear of Stazon black Ink

When Witches Come Out To Play

 Corner Elegant Set

was the perfect addition to this magical page of some of my favourite

 real life pagans chanting incantations .

The molten chunky embossing powder ,creates extra interest and I love the effect it gives to the chippy.
