I was feeling stagnant of creativity last week, nothing motivated me.
I tried to promote a little Mojo flow by creating some backgrounds,
so, that when I felt creative ,I had something to work with .
Usually I will create up to 6 backgrounds at a time
(you know , while you have all your wet mediums out )
and I had one particular page that needed attention-
that's the blue page above-it already had spray colour-but it was green & purple,
and purple is not one of my favorite colours to use ,
so i used that rad Prima Finnabair stencil and attacked the page with textured paste
then hit it with acrylic sprays and wow what an inspiring background to start with .
I pulled out the embossing powder, well 2 actually first white ,
then pewter, and I love the way the pewter marbled over the white embossing powder..
I think it looks awesome
This layout below started as a bit of a hit and miss background..
I had sprayed the spinning tops rainbow with acrylic paint sprays,
but it was so unappealing- yes i couldn't believe it either,
so i then added the Damask stencil
and after drying, sprayed with dylusion mists to pump up the colour...
Hello ,I just Love the effect it created .
Perfect for this photo of Asti that I had edited with a rainbow tint in Pixlr.com/express .
Just three layouts , but a really productive day ,
with a canvas also on the go and some preparation for this
weekends lighthouse art retreat with the amazing
